Another beautiful and warm day, perfect to go to Ussé and discover the castle of Sleeping Beauty. It is one of the castles of the Loire (on the Indre!) which is worth the detour with its distinct and harmonious parts of the 16th, 17th and 17th centuries, a bit like an open book of architecture. The well-furnished rooms occupied by their costumed characters allow us to discover all the facets of these eras. Perrault’s tales are also present and well presented: perfect for small families!
We also admire the elegant Gothic chapel which adjoins the castle. In the gardens, we appreciate the misting effect of the central water jet! And a good ice cream just opposite to conclude the visit with a nice view of all this beautiful ensemble.
