With some friends, we went along the Indre to go to Azay-le-Rideau, passing through the charming towns of Artannes sur Indre and Saché. The guided tour of the castle is essential, and we have great pleasure in revisiting the history of this beautiful setting surrounded by water and flanked by its five towers. Coffered ceilings finely decorated with famous portraits, magnificent frames that form a monument within monuments, a suite of beautiful rooms each furnished in its own century.
We then stroll through the old streets of Azay taking advantage of the beautiful facades and the sun. Everything’s fine!
